Angie Schwartz, PTA

Physical Therapist Assistant

Angie Schwartz, PTA, discovered her passion for physical therapy through a combination of academic curiosity and hands-on experience.

Her high school anatomy and physiology class, along with volunteer work in a hospital’s physical therapy department, sparked her interest in the field. She went on to earn her degree from Rhodes State College and began practicing as a PTA in 2010.

Over the years, she has worked in outpatient clinics, acute care, and inpatient rehabilitation settings, ultimately finding her greatest fulfillment in the variety of outpatient therapy.

Angie specializes in orthopedic and manual therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, and functional movement. She has advanced training in vestibular rehab, Neufit Method Levels 1 and 2, Kinesiotaping Levels 1 and 2, and Functional Nutrition.

She enjoys the dynamic nature of physical therapy—every patient presents a new challenge that requires problem-solving, blending hands-on techniques with functional movements. Her passion lies in helping people regain their mobility, independence, and overall quality of life.

At Performance Physical Therapy & Wellness, Angie thrives in an environment that fosters continuous learning and collaboration.

The clinic encourages professional growth through continuing education, knowledge-sharing among clinicians, and hands-on skill labs during staff meetings. She values the opportunity to expand her expertise and apply new techniques that enhance patient care.

Outside of work, Angie enjoys traveling, hiking, and exploring new places with her husband and children.

She also has a deep appreciation for art, whether she’s creating through drawing, painting, or photography, or admiring artwork in galleries and architecture.

A fun fact about Angie—she once spent a semester studying art history and painting in Florence, Italy, and nearly stayed to teach English after her studies ended!
